The Manifest Institute for Legislative Excellence (MILE) teaches legislative staff and freshman members how a Georgia legislative office actually works. Every exercise uses real bills, real calendars, and real office documents. Participants practice the job, not just hear about it.
Staff Academy
Four days. For Chiefs of Staff, Policy Directors, and Communications Directors. Other staff are welcome.
Participants leave with the Staff Academy Workbook, The Office Toolkit, and The Manifest Office Framework handbook.
Day One: The Office
The Georgia legislative environment and how a working office is organized.
Day Two: The Bill
Tracking and triage, reading a bill properly, analysis under time pressure, and preparing the member for committee.
Day Three: The Floor
The morning floor brief, briefing documents, staffing the floor, and the vote.
Day Four: The District
Casework, communications, district events, and the plan each participant takes back to the office.
Legislator Academy
One day. Freshman members only, with no staff in the room. Taught by Nicole Ofosu-Appiah.
A direct conversation about what you are walking into: how session works, what your office owes you, the documents only you can approve, how to be effective in committee and on the floor, and why the district is where you are judged.
The Manifest Office Academy
Both programs for one office: one Representative and up to four staff, trained on the same systems so the office runs as one team.
